Install roof spoiler on rear window - AZ88.30-P-0015-02ES

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 33 other vehicles, including the 2016 Mercedes-Benz E63 S AMG, 2016 Mercedes-Benz E400, 2016 Mercedes-Benz E350, 2016 Mercedes-Benz E300, and 2016 Mercedes-Benz E250. MODEL 212.2 (except 212.274/277) up to 4/13/13 up to model year 2014 without CODE 772 (AMG styling package - front spoiler, side skirts and rear apron) without CODE 950 (AMG sport package) 

IMPORTANT Helper required to assemble roof spoiler (1).

  1. Cut protective foils (2) at front and rear adhesive strips on roof spoiler (1) in center, slightly remove at ends and bend 45° in direction of outer edge.

    IMPORTANT If necessary, fix bent protective foils (2) in place on outside of roof spoiler (1) with adhesive tape.

  2. Remove protective foils (3) from remaining adhesive strips at ends and bend 45° in direction of outer edge.

    IMPORTANT Fix bent protective foils (3) in place on outside of roof spoiler (1) with adhesive tape.

  4. Install roof spoiler (1) on standard rear spoiler and center, align roof spoiler (1) above center brake lamp (E21) so that a uniform edge of approx. 1 mm is visible of the standard rear spoiler.
  5. Remove protective foils (2) in increments of 15 to 20 cm starting at center and firmly press on roof spoiler (1).

    When pressing on, press directly on adhesive strips on roof spoiler (1). Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

    IMPORTANT The maximum adhesive force is reached after approx. 72 hours at 20°C. Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. rain, fog, carwash) within the first 24 hours. Prevent any mechanical stress.

    IMPORTANT Do not remove protective foil (2) all at once. To increase processing reliability when installing roof spoiler (1), conclude by pressing roof spoiler (1) down rear window using a clean cotton rag, starting at one side.

  7. Align roof spoiler (1) on standard rear spoiler so that a uniform edge is visible on the rear spoiler.
  8. Remove protective foils (2) in increments of 15 to 20 cm starting at center and firmly press on roof spoiler (1).

    When pressing on, press directly on adhesive strips on roof spoiler (1). Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.
