Converting rear bumper - AZ88.00-P-0001-03ES

MODEL 212.2 up to model year 2013 

IMPORTANT Check components removed from standard bumper before assembly and replace if damaged.

NOTES Carefully lay down painted vehicle parts.

In order to prevent damage.

  1. Insert paneling lower section (2) into rear bumper paneling (1) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT The lower section of the paneling (2) should arrest correctly in the rear bumper paneling (1).

    IMPORTANT Shown on rear bumper paneling on model 207.

  2. Fasten paneling bottom section (2) on right and left to rear bumper paneling (1) with one blind rivet (19) each.

  3. Insert center basic carrier (3) into rear bumper paneling (1) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT The center basic carrier (3) should arrest properly in the rear bumper paneling (1).

  4. Install plates with bolts (4) and sealing washer (5) in center basic carrier (3).

  5. Install rear center section brackets (16) on right and left on paneling bottom section (2) and arrest.

    IMPORTANT The rear center section brackets (16) should arrest properly in the paneling bottom section (2). The rear center section brackets (16) are marked for the corresponding side and must not be mixed up.

    Vehicles with Parktronic system (PTS) Code 220 

  6. Insert PTS wiring harness (6) removed from standard bumper into rear bumper paneling (1) and fix in place in specified brackets.
  7. Insert outer left, inner left, inner right (A86/2b2) and outer right rear bumper radar sensors, removed from standard bumper, into mounts of rear bumper paneling (1).

    IMPORTANT Before inserting sensors, check decoupling rings, replace if damaged.

    Vehicles with code (230) Exclusive parking assist 

  8. Inert rear short range radar sensor units (A86/2) removed from standard bumper with connected NBR cable set (18) into bracket on rear bumper paneling (1) and secure with two fastening brackets (17).
  9. Insert NBR cable set (18) into rear bumper paneling (1) and fix in place in brackets present.

    IMPORTANT Shown on model 212.0.

  10. Insert reinforcements (20) on right and left into rear bumper paneling (1) and fasten with two blind rivets (19) each.

  11. Install one insert clip fastener (21) each on right and left on reinforcements (20).

  12. Install hose clamps (7) on right side of rear bumper paneling (1).

    IMPORTANT Shown on model 212.0.

  13. Fasten bracket for AGA chrome molding (15) on right and left with three blind rivets (19) each on paneling bottom section (2).

    IMPORTANT Shown on model 212.0.

  14. Fasten bracket for AGA chrome molding (15) on right and left with one disk spring (22) each on rear center section shackles (16).

    IMPORTANT Install disk spring (22) at top of pin.

  15. Install three clip fasteners (21) each on left and right on bracket for AGA chrome molding (15).

    IMPORTANT Shown on model 212.0.

  16. Install AGA chrome molding (10) with three stainless steel bolts (12) and three washers (13) each and right and left on bracket for AGA chrome molding (15).

    IMPORTANT Tighten stainless steel bolts (12) in sequence shown (a, b, c).

  17. Hook check strap on towing eye cover into rear bumper paneling (1) and insert towing eye cover.

    IMPORTANT The towing eye cover should arrest correctly in the rear bumper paneling (1).

    IMPORTANT Shown on model 212.0.
