Remove/install bulbs of headlamp unit - AR82.10-P-1201EW

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 33 other vehicles, including the 2016 Mercedes-Benz E63 S AMG, 2016 Mercedes-Benz E400, 2016 Mercedes-Benz E350, 2016 Mercedes-Benz E300, and 2016 Mercedes-Benz E250. MODEL 207 up to model year 2014 without CODE 615 (Bi-xenon headl. (LHD veh.) w. corn. function) without CODE 621 (Intelligent Light System (left-hand traffic)) without CODE 622 (Intelligent Light System (right-hand traffic)) 

MODEL 212 up to model year 2014 without CODE 614 (Bi-xenon headlamp unit) without CODE 615 (Bi-xenon headl. (LHD veh.) w. corn. function) without CODE 616 (Bi-xenon headlamps w. headlamp cornering fct.) without CODE 621 (Intelligent Light System (left-hand traffic)) without CODE 622 (Intelligent Light System (right-hand traffic))

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off exterior lights NOTES Always switch off exterior lights before changing bulbs.
Otherwise, a short circuit may occur.
 
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit    
3 Open service flap in left or right front fender liner MODEL 207
When removing low beams (E1e2, E2e2) or front turn signal lights (E1e5, E2e5).
 
4 Detach refrigerant line in area of left front lamp unit (E1) until housing cover (2) can be removed MODEL 212
When removing left low beam (E1e2).
 
5 Detach housing cover (1) When removing high beams (E1e1, E2e1) or front standing lights and parking lights (E1e3, E2e3).  
6 Detach housing cover (2) When removing low beams (E1e2, E2e2).  
7 Turn and remove high beam socket (4), remove left high beam (E1e1) or right high beam (E2e1) from high beam socket (4) When removing high beams (E1e1, E2e1).
NOTES Do not touch the bulb with bare fingers; use a soft cloth free of oil and grease.
Otherwise, the bulbs are damaged due to overheating.
IMPORTANTRemoval:  Turn high beam socket (4) approx. 30° counterclockwise.
 
8 Remove standing light and parking light socket (5) out of reflector, remove left front standing light and parking light (E1e3) or right front standing light and parking light (E2e3) from standing light and parking light socket (5) When removing front standing lights and parking lights (E1e3, E2e3).
NOTES Do not touch the bulb with bare fingers; use a soft cloth free of oil and grease.
Otherwise, the bulbs are damaged due to overheating.
 
9 Turn and remove low beam socket (6), remove left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) from low beam socket (6) When removing low beams (E1e2, E2e2).
NOTES Do not touch the bulb with bare fingers; use a soft cloth free of oil and grease.
Otherwise, the bulbs are damaged due to overheating.
IMPORTANTRemoval:  Turn low beam socket (6) approx. 30° counterclockwise.
 
10 Turn and remove turn signal light socket (3), remove left front turn signal light (E1e5) or right front turn signal light (E2e5) from turn signal light socket (3) When removing front turn signal lights (E1e5, E2e5).
NOTES Do not touch the bulb with bare fingers; use a soft cloth free of oil and grease.
Otherwise, the bulbs are damaged due to overheating.
IMPORTANTRemoval:  turn signal light socket (3) approx. 30° counterclockwise.
 
11 Install in the reverse order
