Check wiper arms - AR82.30-P-6000-01CW

IMPORTANT On wiper arms without  Toplock system, use the SPECIAL TOOL adapter from the SPECIAL TOOL adjustment tool set.

On wiper arms with  Toplock system (not on MODEL 190, 197), use the separate SPECIAL TOOL adapter.

The following description is shown on wiper arms without Toplock system.

  1. SPECIAL TOOL Insert adapter (B) into the guide (arrow) of the SPECIAL TOOL angle gauge (A) and fasten with the screw/bolt to SPECIAL TOOL angle gauge (A).
  2. Shown on MODEL 204.0, driver-side wiper arm (1) in reverse position

  3. SPECIAL TOOL Slide adapter (B) with the SPECIAL TOOL angle gauge (A) onto the wiper blade mount of the driver-side wiper arm (1).
  4. Lower driver-side wiper arm (1) until all three jacking points of the SPECIAL TOOL angle gauge foot (A) touch the windshield.
  5. Read angle of incidence of driver-side wiper arm (1) on the SPECIAL TOOL dial of the angle gauge (A) and record.
  6. Raise driver-side wiper arm (1) and remove SPECIAL TOOL adapter (B) with SPECIAL TOOL angle gauge (A).
  7. Repeat testing procedure for passenger-side wiper arm.
  8. Raise driver-side wiper arm (1) and passenger-side wiper arm, cover up using suitable aids (scratch protection) and place on windshield.
  9. Set windshield wiper system to parked position and remove aids (scratch protection) from driver-side wiper arm (1) and passenger-side wiper arm.

    NOTES When changing from reversing position to parked position, make sure that driver-side wiper arm (1) and passenger-side wiper arm do not make direct contact with windshield.

    Otherwise, the windshield will be scratched.

  10. Shown on MODEL 204.0, driver-side wiper arm (1) in parked position

  11. SPECIAL TOOL Slide angle gauge (A) onto the wiper blade mount of the driver-side wiper arm (1).
  12. Lower driver-side wiper arm (1) until all three jacking points of the SPECIAL TOOL angle gauge foot (A) touch the windshield.
  13. Read angle of incidence of driver-side wiper arm (1) on the dial of the SPECIAL TOOL angle gauge (A) and record.
  14. SPECIAL TOOL Remove angle gauge (A) together with SPECIAL TOOL adapter (B) from driver-side wiper arm (1).
  15. Repeat testing procedure for passenger-side wiper arm.
