Install and weld in rear end - AR64.20-P-1020-03EW

MODEL 212.0/1, 218.3

Install rear end assembly (1), rear lamp units and rubber seal and fit.
Check and adjust gaps.
Fix in place rear end assembly (1) with vise grip pliers.
Remove rear lamp unit and rubber seal.
Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes on rear end (1) (areas I, J, X₂ and Y₂ ).
Drill Ø 5.5 mm holes for plug welding (areas X₁ and Y₁ ).

Remove rear end (1)
Deburr rivet holes on rear end (1) on both sides.
Apply zinc dust paint to insides of riveted joints.
Install rear end (1), fit and fix in place.
Rivet rear end (1) with Ø 6.4 X 14 Polygrip flat/round head rivet (areas K, L, X₂ and Y₂ ).
Rear end (1) (areas X₁ and Y₁ ).

Position sheet metal lugs in connection area of rear fender on rear end (1) (arrows).
Rear end (1) (areas M, N, O, P, Q and R).
On model 212.041 areas O and P are not present due to the structural shape
Clean weld joints.
Remove shavings and drill chips.
