Detach rear end - AR64.20-P-1020-01EW

IMPORTANT On model 212.041 areas C and D are not present due to the structural shape

  1. Expose spot welds on rear end (1) (areas A, B, C, D, E and F).
  2. Cut out spot welds on rear rend (1) (areas A, B, C, D, E and F).
  3. Bend sheet metal lugs in connection area of rear fender to rear end (1) toward outside (arrows).

  4. Expose spot welds on rear end (1) (areas G, G1 , G2 , H, H1 and H2 ).
  5. Cut out spot welds on rear end (1) (areas G and H).
  6. Drill Ø 5.5 mm spot welds in rear end (1) (areas G1 , G2 , H1 and H2 ).
  7. Remove damaged rear end (1).

  8. Grind mating surfaces on body down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides

  9. Remove shavings and drill chips.
  10. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
