Detach rear end - AR64.20-P-1020-01ES

  1. Expose spot welds on rear end assembly and cut out (areas A, B, C, D, E and F).

  3. Expose spot welds on rear end assembly and cut out (areas G and H).
  4. Drill Ø 6.5 mm spot welds on rear end assembly (areas Q and R).
  5. Grind open MIG solder connection on rear end assembly (area I and J).
  6. Heat rear end assembly in crosshatched area.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched area is bonded.

  7. Remove damaged rear end assembly.

  9. Grind mating surfaces on body down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces (area S).

  10. Remove shavings and drill chips.
  11. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    NOTES Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint. This can lead to adhesion problems.
