	Remove
1	Raise vehicle
2	Measure connecting point at exhaust pipes (3) for the standard exhaust system and mark	Dimensions: a = 215 mm The connecting point (arrows) is established by the dimension (A). Measurement takes place from the center of the weld seam on the underside of the exhaust pipe.
3	Cut through exhaust pipes (3) for the series exhaust system	Deburr the cut edges. Specific tools gotis://G_58.3_06.2
4	Remove LH rear muffler (1) and RH rear muffler (2)
5	Check rubber mount (4) for re-usability	Replace the rubber mounts (4) if necessary.
	Install
6	Premount sport muffler on the series exhaust system	Use supplied clamps for this step. Apply lubricating paste to rubber mounts (4).
6	Premount sport muffler on the series exhaust system	Antifriction paste, rubber parts 2.5 kg, DB supply specification 6867.00	*BR00.45-Z-1002-06A
7	Align sport muffler and screw down	Ensure that the end pipes lie parallel to each other.

8	Check entire exhaust system for leaktightness.
9	Document retrofitted equipment via vehicle documentation (VeDoc)	Attach note "Sport muffler retrofitted as per AZ49.10-P-0018EW " under field organization texts to the DG 49.
10	Hand over supplied EC type approval to the customer	Acceptance testing by an authorized test point is not required. The EC type approval supplied for the sport rear muffler should be carried in the vehicle.
