Remove/install high-pressure pump's fuel temperature sensor - AR07.04-P-0008OGE

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Only pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

IMPORTANT Notes about Common-Rail components   AH07.16-P-0002-01TX
1 Remove engine trim panel    
2 Remove cover for belt drive    
3 Disconnect electrical connector on fuel temperature sensor (B50)    
4 Clean high pressure pump (1) in the area of fuel temperature sensor (B50) using cold cleaning solvent and dry with compressed air IMPORTANT Use lint-free cloth to collect any fuel that runs out. *BR00.45-Z-1051-04A 
5 Remove fuel temperature sensor (B50) IMPORTANT Vacuum up any particles, like paint, from around hole.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA07.04-P-1007-01G 
6 Remove sealing rings from fuel temperature sensor (B50) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Always replace sealing rings.
IMPORTANT Vacuum up any paint and dirt particles, particularly from out of the hole.
 
7 Install in the reverse order    
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

8 Check fuel system for leaks with engine running IMPORTANT Visual inspection.
