Mount high-pressure lines - AR07.03-P-1010-02MMB

NOTES The union nuts for the low-pressure line (1a) and the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c, 1d) may only be tightened with torque after  installation of the low-pressure line (1a) and the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c, 1d).

Leakage will occur otherwise. Do not kink or bend the low-pressure line (1a) and high-pressure line (1b, 1c, 1d).

  1. Mount low-pressure line (1a) loosely on high-pressure pumps (2l, 2r) and on the left cylinder head cover.

    IMPORTANT Tighten screw/bolts (7) after alignment of the low-pressure line (1a) and tighten the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c, 1d) using torque.

  2. Mount high-pressure line (1b) on left rail (3l) and on left high-pressure pump (2l).
  3. Mount high-pressure line (1c) on left and right rail (3l, 3r).
  4. Mount high-pressure line (1b) on right rail (3r) and on right high-pressure pump (2lr).

    IMPORTANT Clamps (5, 6) must be aligned before screwing on. Ensure correct routing of the low-pressure line (1a) and the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c, 1d).

  5. Mount clamps (5) for the low-pressure line (1a) and the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c) on the intake manifold.
  6. Mount clamps (6) for the low-pressure line (1a) and the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c, 1d) on cylinder head covers.
  7. Mount union nut of the fuel line on fuel distributor for low-pressure line (1a).
  8. Tighten union nuts with torque.

    NOTES Comply with the tightening torques exactly. Leaks can occur otherwise.

  9. Mount plastic retaining clip (4) between the low-pressure line (1a) and high-pressure line (1d).
