Location
The rear door control units are located on the corresponding door module behind the door trim.
Task
The rear door control units have the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Left rear door LIN (LIN B9)
- Right rear door LIN (LIN B10)
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read in by the left rear door control unit via direct lines:
- Left rear power window switch (S213)
- Hall sensor for left rear door power window motor (M105)
The signals from the following components are read in by the right rear door control unit via direct lines:
- Right rear power window switch (S214)
- Hall sensor for right rear door power window motor (M106)
Left rear door LIN
The signals from the left rear door analog/digital converter (N69/16) (relaying status of left seat heater button (S51/3)) (with code (872) Electric seat heater for left and right rear seat) are read in by the left rear door control via the left rear door LIN.
The right rear door control unit supplies the connected control elements with circuit 58d.
Right rear door LIN
The signals from the right rear door analog/digital converter (N69/17) (relaying status of right seat heater button (S51/4)) (with code (872) Electric seat heater for left and right rear seat) are read in by the right rear door control via the right rear door LIN.
The right rear door control unit supplies the connected control elements with circuit 58d.
Interior CAN
The requests to adjust the power window (PW) are read in via the interior CAN.
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Components are actuated with the following connection:

The following components are actuated by the left rear door control unit via direct lines:
- Left rear door central locking motor (A853m1)
- Left rear door additional door lock actuator motor (A85/3m4) (with code (885) Increased theft protection)
- Left rear door exit and warning lamp (E175)
- Left rear door handle illumination (E1713)
- Left front door ambiance illumination (E17/45) (with code (954) Avantgarde or code (955) Elegance)
- Left rear door power window motor (M105)
The following components are actuated by the right rear door control unit via direct lines:
- Right rear door central locking motor (A854m1)
- Right rear door additional door lock actuator motor (A85/4m4) (with code (885) Increased theft protection)
- Right rear door exit and warning lamp (E176)
- Right rear door handle illumination (E1714)
- Left front door ambiance illumination(E17/46) (with code (954) Avantgarde or code (955) Elegance)
- Right rear door power window motor (M106)
