Disconnect engine wiring harness - AR01.00-P-2410-02ELS

IMPORTANTPerform operation steps 1 to   17  to remove the engine. 

  1. Detach protective cap (5a) for positive battery terminal (5) from on-board electrical system battery (G1).
  2. ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 212, 218 without CODE 4U7 (Start/stop voltage dip protector) Detach cap (6a) from positive line (6).
  3. Detach positive line (6) from positive terminal clamp (8).
  4. ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 212, 218 without CODE 4U7 (Start/stop voltage dip protector) Detach positive terminal clamp (8) from positive battery terminal (5) at the on-board electrical system battery (G1).

    Shown on vehicle without code 4U7 (Start-Stop voltage drop protection)

  5. ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 212, 218 without CODE 4U7 (Start/stop voltage dip protector) Detach electrical connection (11) from positive terminal clamp (8).
  6. Detach weatherstrip (3) from suspension strut tower and detach center section of the bulkhead (10).
  7. Unclip electrical line (7) from retaining clamp (9), detach at bulkhead (10) and lay to one on the engine.
  8. Detach electrical line (12) from alternator TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  9. Disconnect electrical connection for electrical wiring harnesses (15, 16) on ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).
  10. Disconnect electrical connection from electrical wiring harness (13) on engine.
  11. Unclip electrical wiring harness (13, 15) on bracket (14) and place to one side.

  12. Disconnect electrical line (21) from intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80).
  13. Disconnect electrical connection (19) on electric transmission oil pump (M42).
  14. Detach ground line (20) from transmission (17). TRANSMISSION 722.9 in MODEL 212, 218 with ENGINE 276.8TORQUE SPECIFICATION
  15. Detach heat shield (18) from transmission (17) and disconnect electrical connection on electric controller unit. TRANSMISSION 722.9 in MODEL 212, 218 with ENGINE 276.8TORQUE SPECIFICATION
  16. Unclip electrical line (21) on transmission (17) and place to one side.
  17. Disconnect electrical connections of oxygen sensors, unclip and set aside.

    IMPORTANTPerform operation steps 18 to for removal of cylinder head covers, the centrifuge or the charge air distributor. 

  18. Disconnect electrical connection at fuel injectors (Y76) on the right.
  19. Disconnect electrical connection on multiplug (24).
  20. Disconnect electrical connection at boost pressure control pressure transducer (Y31/5).
  21. Disconnect electrical connection on pressure sensor upstream of throttle valve (B28/6) and on pressure sensor downstream of throttle valve (B28/7).
  22. Disconnect electrical connection on right intake camshaft solenoid (Y49/5) and right exhaust camshaft solenoid (Y49/7).

  23. Disconnect electrical connection on right intake camshaft Hall sensor (B6/5) and right exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/7).
  24. Disconnect electrical connection at the ignition coils (T1) on the right.
  25. Disconnect electrical connection at left divert air switchover valve (Y101/1).
  26. Disconnect electrical connection on purging pressure sensor (B4/4).
  27. Disconnect electrical connection on coolant thermostat heating element (R48).
  28. Disconnect electrical connection on charge air temperature sensor (B17/8).
  29. Disconnect electrical connection on left intake camshaft solenoid (Y49/4) and left exhaust camshaft solenoid (Y49/6).

  30. Disconnect electrical connection on left intake camshaft Hall sensor (B6/4) and left exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/6).
  31. Disconnect electrical connection at the ignition coils (T1) on the left.
  32. Disconnect electrical connection at fuel injectors (Y76) on the left.
  33. Disconnect electrical connection on fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B4/25).
  34. Disconnect electrical connection on throttle valve actuator.
  35. Expose A/C compressor electrical wiring harness (24) at the extension (arrow).

  36. Detach ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).
  37. Detach cable duct (23) from engine and place to one side.
  38. Disconnect electrical connection from A/C compressor electrical wiring harness (24) at A/C compressor (A9).
