Connect, disconnect wiring harness on engine and transmission - AR01.10-P-2400-11EW

ENGINE 272, 273 in MODEL 212 

  1. Disconnect electrical connectors (8, 9, 10), detach engine wiring harness and place to one side.
  2. Remove cover (2) from front electrical prefuse box (F32) and detach wiring harness (4).
  3. Remove wiring harness (4) from retaining clamps (5) and lay down on engine.

  4. Remove ground line (6) from transmission.
    • (5.1)  Transmission 716.6: Disconnect electrical line (12) from backup lamp switch (S16/2).
    • INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace cable tie (12a).

    • (5.2)  Transmission 722.9: Disconnect electrical line (7) from intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80).
  5. Transmission 722.9: Unscrew bolts (17) and remove bracket (16) with lines.

  7. Transmission 722.9: Remove shield (13) and disconnect connector for electronic transmission control (14).
  8. Disconnect electrical connector (18) from AC compressor.
  9. Disconnect electrical connector (11) from power steering pump.
  10. Vehicles without 4MATIC: Unclip electrical connector for left oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/3x1), right oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/4x1), left oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/5x1) and right oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/6x1) and lines for oxygen sensor from retaining clamp and disconnect.

  11. Vehicle with 4MATIC: Unclip electrical connectors on left oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/3x1), right oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/5x1) and lines on oxygen sensors from retaining clips at bottom of transmission and disconnect. Unclip right oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/4x1), right oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/6x1) and lines on oxygen sensors from upper right retaining clips on transmission bell and disconnect.
