Remove inner C-pillar side wall - AR63.10-P-0700-01EW

- Expose spot welds on outer C-pillar (1) (areas A and B).
- Cut out spot welds on outer C-pillar (1) areas A and B).
- Heat outer C-pillar (1) in crosshatched area.
Cross-hatched area is bonded.
- Remove damaged outer C-pillar (1).
Dimensions:
- Loosen water drain hose from retaining clips and remove.
- Scribe separation point on inner C-pillar (2) (area F).
Determine dimensions a and b for separation points on marked holes (arrows).
- Cut inner C-pillar (2) at separation point (area F).
- Expose spot welds on inner C-pillar (2) and reinforcement (3) (areas C, D, D1 , E, E1 , E2 and G).
- Cut out spot welds on inner C-pillar (2) and reinforcement (3) (areas C, D, D1 , E, E1 , E2 and G).
- Bend open sheet metal lug on inner C-pillar (2) (arrows).
- Heat inner C-pillar (2) in crosshatched areas.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded.
- Remove damaged inner C-pillar (2) and reinforcement (3).
- Sand connection surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched areas.
Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove shavings and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
To prevent adhesion problems, do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (area XX).
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
