Install section of rear fender - AR63.50-P-1450-03ELX

MODEL 204.2, 204.9, 212.2, 218.9
The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle on MODEL 218.9 and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Install rear fender (1), rear door, taillamp and rubber seal and fit.
- Check and adjust gap dimensions.
- Fix rear fender (1) in place.
- Remove taillamp and rubber seal.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in rear fender (1) and lower (areas F and G).
- Remove rear fender (1).
- Deburr rivet holes on rear fender (1) on both sides.
- Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.
- Install rubber window spacers from glazing repair kit as spacers on outer rear wheel well at uniform intervals.
- Apply sealant to outer rear wheel well and foam parts.
- Apply 2-component adhesive to outer C-pillar (area D).
Only when replacing lock striker bracket.
Observe pretreatment of bonding 2 surfaces. Observe manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of adhesive.
- Install rear fender (1), fit and fix in place.
- Rivet rear fender (1) with Ø 6.4 X 14 countersunk rivet (areas F1 and G1 ).

(areas D, E and H).
- Rear fender (1) SG ««««
(areas A, B and C).
Inert gas weld in intervals and allow to cool down in between. Otherwise heat distortion can occur.
- Rear fender (1) SG ⓧ (areas D1 and K1 ).
- Grind inert gas welds down flat.
- Clean weld joints.
- Fill surface on rear fender in cross-hatched areas with solder and smooth.
- Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
