Install rear fender - AR63.50-P-1400-04EW

  1. Install rear fender (1), trunk lid, taillamp and rubber seal and fit.
  2. Check and adjust gap dimensions.
  3. Fix rear fender (1) in place.
  4. Remove trunk lid, taillamp and rubber seal.
  5. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes on rear fender (1) (area Q).
  6. Remove rear fender (1).
  7. Deburr rivet holes on rear fender (1) on both sides.
  8. Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.

  10. Install rubber window spacers from glazing repair kit as spacers on outer rear wheel well at uniform intervals.
  11. Apply sealant to outer rear wheel well, C-pillar and foam parts.

    IMPORTANT Apply sealant in area R only when lock striker bracket is replaced.

  13. Install rear fender (1), fit and fix in place.
  14. Rivet rear fender (1) with Ø 6.4 X 14 Polyygrip countersunk-head rivet (area S).
  15. Rear fender (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas A, A1 , B, C and T).
  16. Rear fender (1) (area A2).

    Not when replacing inner C-pillar.

  17. Rear fender (1) SG «««« (areas E and D).

    IMPORTANT Perform inert gas welding, allow to cool down in between to minimize heat distortion (areas E and D).

  19. Rear fender (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas U, V, W, W1 , X and Z).
  20. Rear fender (1) (area Y).

    IMPORTANT Drill Ø 5.5 mm in area Y for plug welding.

  21. Grind inert gas welds down flat.
  22. Clean welds on rear fender (1).
  23. Fill surfaces on rear fender (1) with solder in area of inert gas welds and smooth.
  24. Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
