Install C-pillar - AR63.20-P-0500-03ES

MODEL 212.2
- Apply 2-component adhesive in crosshatched area.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
Refer to the manufacturer's information for the curing and working times of 2-component adhesive.
- Install inner C-pillar, outer C-pillar, rear fender, liftgate and rear door with straightening tools and fit.
Observe setup plans.
In addition use portal straightening set according to damage.
- Check and adjust gaps.
- Fix inner C-pillar in place.
- Remove straightening tool for rear fender, rear fender and outer C-pillar.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes on inner C-pillar (area Z).
Deburr rivet holes and coat with zinc dust paint.
- Rivet inner C-pillar with Ø 6.5 X 12.5 steel/stele rivet (area Z).
- Inner C-pillar and reinforcement
(areas F, G and X).
- Inner C-pillar (3)
(areas C, R and D1).
- Bend open inner C-pillar (3) (arrow).
- Inner C-pillar (3) SG «««« (area Q).
- Grind weld seam on inner C-pillar (3) down to flat on mating surfaces (area Q).
- Clean weld seam and spot welds.
Apply zinc dust paint to areas ground down to bare metal and no longer accessible after installing C-pillar.
- Apply body sealant to foam part between inner and outer C-pillar (2).
- Install outer C-pillar (2).
- Outer C-pillar (2)
(areas T, U and V).
- Outer C-pillar (2) SG «««« (area S).
- Grind weld seam on outer C-pillar (2) down to flat on mating surfaces (area S).
- Clean weld seam and spot welds.
Apply zinc dust paint to areas ground down to bare metal and no longer accessible after installing rear fender.
