Insert spacer blocks on undamaged side of roof duct between center roof paneling and side roof paneling and adjust dimension.
So that the middle roof paneling can be fitted with the adjusted
spacer blocks during installation.
- Mark position on vehicle and dimension of
spacer blocks.
- Expose spot welds on center roof paneling (1) and cut out (areas A, B, C, D and arrows).
- Heat center roof paneling (1) in crosshatched areas.
Crosshatched areas are bonded.
- Remove damaged center roof paneling (1)
- Sand connection surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched areas.
Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove drill shavings.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint to prevent adhesion problems (areas E and F).
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
