Separate center roof paneling - AR65.10-P-1000-02ESA

  1. SPECIAL TOOL Insert spacer blocks on undamaged side of roof duct between center roof paneling and side roof paneling and adjust dimension.

    IMPORTANT So that the middle roof paneling can be fitted with the adjusted SPECIAL TOOL spacer blocks during installation.

  2. Mark position on vehicle and dimension of SPECIAL TOOL spacer blocks.
  3. Expose spot welds on center roof paneling (1) and cut out (areas A, B, C, D and arrows).

  4. Heat center roof paneling (1) in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Crosshatched areas are bonded.

  5. Remove damaged center roof paneling (1)
  6. Sand connection surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  7. Remove drill shavings.
  8. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    NOTES Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint to prevent adhesion problems (areas E and F).

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
