MODEL 212 with CODE 413 (Panoramic glass roof with top sliding roof) 

Location 

The panoramic sliding roof control unit is located at the front left on the frame of the panoramic sliding roof. The panoramic sliding sunroof control unit (A98n1) is integrated into the panoramic sliding sunroof control module.

Task 

The panoramic sliding sunroof control unit is responsible for the following tasks:

• Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals 
• Evaluation of input factors 
• Actuation of components 

Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals 

The input factors are read in via the following connections:

• Direct line 
• Interior CAN (CAN B) 

Direct line 

The panoramic sliding sunroof control unit reads in the signals from the following components over direct lines:

• Panoramic sliding roof switch (N703s1)
• Hall sensor 1, panoramic sliding sunroof roller sun blind (M12/5b1)
• Hall sensor 2, panoramic sliding sunroof roller sun blind (M12/5b2)

Interior CAN 

For example the panoramic sliding sunroof control unit reads in the following information via the interior CAN:

• Terminal status of terminal 15
• Rain/light sensor data (B38/2)
• Status of transport mode (as of 1.6.12)

Evaluation of input factors 

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.

Components are actuated with the following connection:

• Direct line

• Panoramic sliding roof roller sun blind drive unit (M12/5)
• Panoramic sliding roof motor (A98m1)

• Panoramic sliding roof motor
• Panoramic sliding roof control unit
