- Route blue line (BU) of comfort telephony wiring harness, as shown, to the left next to the selector lever module in the slot of the removed audio component.
- Release lock (11) at black 44- pin connector (9) and insert blue line (BU) into contact cavity "13" at black 44-pin connector (9).
- Relock lock (11) at black 44-pin connector (9).
- Fix blue line (BU) of comfort telephony wiring harness in place with felt tape (arrow A) at center console (2).
- Fix blue line (BU) of comfort telephony wiring harness in place at vehicle wiring harness using cable tie (arrow B).
- Open cover (12) of cable duct (13).
- Route comfort telephony wiring harness (1) from center console (2) to cable duct (13) of left frame floor assembly, as shown.
Ensure sufficient clearance of comfort telephony wiring harness (1) below rear floor covering (14).
- Route brown line (BN) of comfort telephony wiring harness (1) as shown toward front in cable duct (13).
- Route antenna line (15) and red/green line (RD/GN) of comfort telephony wiring harness (1) as shown toward rear in cable duct (13).
- Route antenna line (15) and red/green line (RD/GN) through cable duct (16) toward rear using pull-through device.
- Install brown line (BN) of comfort telephony wiring harness at left front seat crossmember ground point (W18).
- Form loops with excess length of brown line (BN) next to left front seat crossmember ground point (W18) and fix in place with felt tape (17).
- Close cover (12) of cable duct.
- Open cover of cable duct (23) in rear and route antenna line (15) and red/green line (RD/GN) into this.
- Wrap felt tape around red/green line (RD/GN) behind cable duct (23) over a length of 2000 mm.
- Route antenna line (15) as shown along vehicle wiring harness (24) to C-pillar and fix in place with cable ties (25).
- Route red/green line (RD/GN) as shown behind rear seat backrest.
- Route red/green line (RD/GN) as shown along vehicle wiring harness to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and fix in place with cable ties (arrows C).
Route red/green line (RD/GN) through cable duct (26).
- Release locks (arrows D) and remove green 7-pin fuse carrier (27) from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
Only on vehicles in which the green 7-pin fuse carrier (27) is installed.
- Release fuses (arrows G and H) at green 7-pin fuse carrier (27).
On vehicles in which the green 7-pin fuse carrier (27) is already installed in the vehicle, this is used. Otherwise the green 7-pin fuse carrier (27) included in the package contents is to be used.
- Install red/green line (RD/GN) in contact cavity "1" at green 7-pin fuse carrier (27).
The numbering of the slots can be found on the rear on the green 7-pin fuse carrier (27).
- Lock fuses (arrows G and H) at green 7-pin fuse carrier (27).
- Clip in green 7-pin fuse carrier (27) in the slot of the same color at rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
- Insert fuse 81 (N10/2f81) with a strength of 7.5 A in contact cavity "1" at green 7-pin fuse carrier (27).
- Route antenna line (15) in cable duct (29) to headliner (28).
- Remove cover of headliner (28).
- Route antenna line (15) behind headliner (28) to multifunction antenna (A28/11) using a pull-through device.
Make sure that unobstructed movement of the windowbag is ensured.
Otherwise a malfunction may occur.
- Connect black 1-pin connector of antenna line (15) to black slot of multifunction antenna (A28/11).
- Reinstall cover of headliner (28).
