Windshield washer system - inspect fluid level, adjust to correct level - AP82.35-P-8210EW

DANGER Risk of fire  and explosion caused by ignition of window washing fluid or antifreeze and their vapors. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing window washing fluid or antifreeze or inhaling their vapors. Risk of injury  or physical irritations caused by contact of window washing fluid or antifreeze with eyes, mucous membranes or skin. Wear protective clothing and tight-fitting safety glasses. No open flames, fire or ignition sources. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. When working with window washing fluids or antifreeze, do not eat, drink, or smoke. Do not inhale vapors and ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area. Store window washing fluid and antifreeze leakfree in safely closed original containers and out of the reach of children.   Preparatory activity     
1 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position MODEL 172, 207, 212, 218, 231  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   MODEL 207, 212

To move engine hood to upright position: 
Detach left and right clamping levers at the upper left and right hinges.		 AR88.40-P-1000EW
  Check/correct     
2 Remove cap (1) and check fluid level in washer fluid reservoir (2); correct if necessary    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Windshield washer fluid concentrate   Windshield washer fluid concentrate. MB 371.0.
    IMPORTANT Use summer/winter cleaner depending on season.
IMPORTANT Observe mixing ratio as per the table on the packaging of the windshield washer fluid and antifreeze.

Before closing the engine hood: 
Mount left and right clamping levers at the upper left and right hinges. Otherwise, correct operation of the pedestrian protection function can no longer be guaranteed.
