- Detach green fuse carrier (1.5) from reversing camera wiring harness (1).
Use the
basic wiring harness repair kit or the
supplementary passenger car wiring harness repair kit.
- Detach green 2-pin coupling housing of green 2-pin connector (1.3) from reversing camera wiring harness (1).
- Wrap reversing camera wiring harness (1) from the black 6-pin connector (1.1) and the white 1-pin connector (1.2) starting with a length of 1, 500 mm with insulation tape (area A).
- Clip in reversing camera (B84/3) into the cutout provided on the liftgate.
Guide electrical line through the interior of the liftgate.
- Detach cable duct (5) from the liftgate.
- Connect black 6-pin plug (3) to black 6-pin connector (1.1).
This connects the reversing camera electrical connection (B84/3x1).
- Connect white 1-pin plug (4) to white 1-pin connector (1.2).
This connects reversing camera electrical connection 2 (B84/3x2).
- Pull foam over reversing camera electrical connector (B84/3x1) and reversing camera electrical connector 2 (B84/3x2).
- Route reversing camera wiring harness (1) from the reversing camera electrical connection (B84/3x1) and the reversing camera electrical connection 2 (B84/3x2) along existing wiring harnesses from the liftgate wiper motor through the cable duct and the breakthrough in the roof frame and fix in place.
- Route reversing camera wiring harness (1) from breakthrough in roof frame over the D-pillar along existing wiring harnesses to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module and fix in place using cable ties.
- Route brown line (br) behind rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) to right rear wheel arch ground point (W7) and fix in place using cable ties.
- Connect brown line (br) to right rear wheel arch ground point (W7).
- Strap down excess length of the brown line (br) and fix in place using cable ties.
- With CODE 386 (Comfort telephony), CODE 518 (Media Interface) or with CODE 537 (Digital radio) Detach green fuse carrier (6) from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

Contact cavity 4 (arrow C) of the green fuse carrier (6) is labeled.
- 15.2)
Except CODE 386 (Comfort telephony), CODE 518 (Media Interface) or except CODE 537 (Digital radio) Insert red/blue line (RD/BU) into contact cavity 4 (arrow C) of green fuse carrier (1.5).
Contact cavity 4 (arrow C) of the green fuse carrier (1.5) is labeled.
The green fuse carrier (1.5) is included in the installation kit.
- 15.1)
With CODE 386 (Comfort telephony), CODE 518 (Media Interface) or with CODE 537 (Digital radio) Insert red/blue line (RD/BU) into contact cavity 4 (arrow C) of green fuse carrier (6).
- 16 Attach green fuse carrier (6 or 1.5) to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
The slot on the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) is marked green.
- Insert a fuse with fuse rating of 7.5 A into slot 4 of green fuse carrier (6 or 1.5).
- Tie back excess length of the red/blue line (RD/BU) and fix in place using cable ties.
- Route black line (sw) and twisted yellow line (ge) and yellow/white line (ge/ws) along existing lines and in cable ducts into driver footwell and fix in place using cable ties.
- Connect twisted yellow line (ge) and yellow/white line (ge/ws) to vehicle floor chassis CAN 2 (CAN E2) potential distributor electrical connection (X30/26).
- Strap down excess length of the twisted yellow line (ge) and yellow/white line (ge/ws) and fix in place using cable ties.
- Route black line (sw) along the cable duct over the center console to the COMAND controller unit and fix in place using felt tape.
- With CODE 518 (Media Interface) Detach green 2-pin connector (7) from COMAND controller unit (A40/3).
