Connection scheme

- Remove mounting clip (arrow A) from multifunction camera wiring harness (1).
- Wrap felt tape around multifunction camera wiring harness (1), as shown, from mounting clip (7) to a length of 1800 mm.
- Starting from opening in headliner (8), route multifunction camera wiring harness (1) along wiring harness of rain/light sensor (B38/2) to windshield.
- Clip mounting clip (7) on multifunction camera wiring harness (1) into bore (arrow B).
- Fix multifunction camera wiring harness (1) in place with adhesive tape (9) as shown.
- Guide multifunction camera wiring harness (1) under headliner (8) to A-pillar.
- Route multifunction camera wiring harness (1) along A-pillar to driver footwell.
- Fix multifunction camera wiring harness (1) in place on vehicle wiring harness with two cable ties (10).
Route multifunction camera wiring harness (1) with maximum possible clearance from windowbag.
- Secure brown line (BN) to left front footwell ground point (W15/5).
A maximum of five ground lines may be assigned to the left front footwell ground point (W15/5). Use a different ground point if necessary.
- Connect white 2-pin female connector (4) at chassis CAN branch-off line (5) to vehicle floor chassis CAN potential distributor electrical connector (X30/30).
- Route red/gray line (rt/gr) along vehicle wiring harness to front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module in engine compartment.
- Fix brown line (br), chassis CAN branch-off line (5) and red/gray line (rt/gr) to vehicle wiring harness with cable ties.
- Disconnect yellow 12-pin female connector (6) from front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
The slot for the yellow 12-pin female connector (6) is marked with the designation "2I" on the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
- Insert red/gray line (RD/GY) into contact cavity "8" (arrow C) of yellow 12-pin female connector (6).
- Connect yellow 12-pin female connector (6) to front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
- Tie back any excess length of the red/gray line (rt/gr) and fix in place on vehicle wiring harness with cable ties.
