- 1 Remove protective tube, stop damper and rubber mount in the housing eye of the shock absorber.
- 2 Drill a hole in the shock absorber tube approx. 55 mm (dimension a) away from the top edge of the tube using a 5 mm dia. drill bit (gas escapes).
Shock absorber design as a twin tube damper: Bore outer and inner tube.
- 4 Pump the shock absorber empty by pushing in the piston rod several times.
Collect and dispose of hydraulic fluid which runs out. Observe regulations for the disposal of hydraulic fluid.
- 5 Dispose of shock absorber (scrap).
