The crankshaft bearing caps are machined together with the crankcase and must not be swapped.
The crankshaft bearing caps are fitted into the side of the crankcase. The fit is offset by 0.5 mm from the center, meaning that the crankshaft bearing caps can be installed in one position only. If installed correctly, the lug (arrow) on the crankshaft bearing cap points to the right when looking in the direction of travel.

The crankshaft bearing caps (6, 6a) are numbered consecutively starting with the first crankshaft bearing cap at the front.
