The crankshaft bearing caps are machined together with the crankcase and must not be interchanged.
- The crankshaft bearing caps are fitted on the side in the crankcase and must be mounted in the correct installation position. If the installation position is correct, the semicircle will point (3) in the direction of travel (arrow).
- The crankshaft bearing caps are numbered consecutively on the semicircles (3) beginning with the first crankshaft bearing cap at the front.
