The crankshaft bearing caps (1) and crankshaft fitted bearing cap (2) may only be mounted in one position. In the correct installation position the tabs (3) face opposite the direction of travel (arrow).
The crankshaft bearing caps (1) and crankshaft fitted bearing cap (2)) are machined together with the cylinder crankcase and they may not be interchanged.
The crankshaft bearing caps (1) and the crankshaft fitted bearing cap (2) are numbered consecutively, starting with the timing case cover.
