Remove/install crankshaft - AR03.20-P-4351MCC

ENGINES 132.9 in MODEL 451.3/4

REMOVING Removing     
IMPORTANT   The bearing shell (6) differ from each other and must not get mixed up.
If the removed bearing shells (6) must be reused then these must remain assigned to the respective crankshaft bearing cap (2) or the respective bearing point in the cylinder crankcase (5).
 
1 Remove piston with connecting rod (4)   AR03.10-P-7021MCC 
2 Remove end cover (3) with radial shaft sealing ring   AR01.40-P-8920MCC
3 Loosen bolts for the crankshaft bearing cap (2) in reverse order of the tightening procedure   AR03.20-P-4351-02MCC
4 Remove crankshaft bearing cap (2) with bearing shells (6) IMPORTANT Note installation position of crankshaft bearing cap (2).  
5 Take crankshaft (1) out of crankcase (5)    
6 Take bearing shells (6) out of crankcase (5)    
7 Take thrust plates (7) out of crankcase (5)    
INSTALLING Install     
8 Assign bearing shells (6) to the bearing points in the cylinder crankcase (5) and the crankshaft bearing caps (2)   AR03.20-P-4360-01MCC
9 Insert bearing shells (6) in the respective bearing points in the cylinder crankcase (5) and lubricate with engine oil    
10 Insert bearing shells (6) in the respective crankshaft bearing cap (2) and lubricate with engine oil IMPORTANT The crankshaft bearing caps (2) are numbered.  
IMPORTANT Interference fit of crankshaft bearing cap   AH03.20-P-4351-02MCC
11 Lubricate thrust plate (7) with engine oil and insert in the crankcase (5) IMPORTANT The grooves (arrows) for the thrust plates (7) are attached single-sidedly and must be visible after insertion.  
12 Lubricate crankshaft (1) crankshaft bearing journal with engine oil and insert crankshaft (1) in the crankcase (5)    
13 Place crankshaft bearing cap (2) on the crankshaft (1) crankshaft bearing journal IMPORTANT The crankshaft bearing caps (2) are numbered.  
IMPORTANT Interference fit of crankshaft bearing cap   AH03.20-P-4351-02MCC
14 Check bolt for the crankshaft bearing cap (2) for maximum length   AR03.20-P-4351-03MCC
      *BE03.20-P-1001-01G 
15 Screw in bolts for crankshaft bearing cap (2) and tighten according to the tightening procedure   AR03.20-P-4351-02MCC
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA03.20-P-1001-01G 
16 Rotate crankshaft (1) fully and inspect clearance    
17 Install end cover (3) with radial shaft seal   AR01.40-P-8920MCC
18 Install piston with connecting rod (4)   AR03.10-P-7021MCC
