Check engine oil level using on-board oil dipstick - AP18.00-P-1811MS

DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of engine oil. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing engine oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
  Preparatory activity     
1 Allow engine to warm up IMPORTANT Coolant temperature at least 80 °C.  
2 Turn off engine    
3 Remove interior flap above engine Model 451, 453  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Model 451 AR88.40-P-1100-03MCC
INSPECT Check     
4 Pull oil dipstick (4) out of oil measuring pipe (5) and wipe with a lint-free cloth    
5 Check engine oil level using oil dipstick (4) IMPORTANT Insert oil dipstick (4) all the way into the oil measuring pipe (5) and leave for at least 3 s.
IMPORTANT The level must at least be in the center between the Min. (4b) and Max. (4a) marking on the oil dipstick (4).
IMPORTANT Engine 132, 660
The oil filling quantity between the Min. (4b) and Max. (4a) marking is approx. 0.7 l.
IMPORTANT Engine 281.910
The oil filling quantity between the Min. (4b) and Max. (4a) marking is approx. 1.1 l.
IMPORTANT Engine 281.920
The oil filling quantity between the Min. (4b) and Max. (4a) marking is approx. 0.9 l.
 
  If the engine oil level is too high or too low, correct it     
6 Adjust engine oil to correct level IMPORTANT Check engine oil level again after correcting it. To do so, repeat operation steps_4_and_5.
If engine oil level is too low:

Refill engine oil until the level is at least in the center between the Min. (4b) and Max. (4a) marking on the oil dipstick (4).
If engine oil level is too high:

Extract engine oil until the level is at least in the center between the Min. (4b) and Max. (4a) marking on the oil dipstick (4).
