Transport and storage 

Temperature-regulated viscous fan clutches must be vertical when transported. For brief periods, e.g. for assembly purposes the clutch can be placed down on its flange side, but never however on the front side.

The fan's cast in part number must be at the front (radiator side).

The bimetal strips must not be bent or damaged.

The 9-blade fan was changed to an 11-blade fan. Series production breakpoint as of engine: 120.980-12-017 433

11-blade fans may only be used together with the uprated coolant pump 120 200 10 01.
