	Paint
1	Cover opening in roof as shown
2	Cover outer area and remaining components	On vehicles with preceding body repairs, the cover area must be adapted to the repair process.
3	Remove adhesive residue
4	Grind off body flange (2) and roof bonding area (1)	Residual coating thickness approx. 20 μm. In the roof bonding area (1), the entire paintwork structure up to the electrophoretic immersion paint must be ground off. Grinding all the way down to the sheet steel is acceptable.
5	Completely clean painting area	The paint manufacturer's specifications must be complied with in full.
6	Degrease painting area	The paint manufacturer's specifications must be complied with in full.
7	Apply EP primer filler	Apply to the entire area to be painted. Only use approved materials. The paint manufacturer's specifications must be complied with in full.
8	Fabricate template and transfer profile of roof bonding area (1) in the area of the C-pillar to the body	MODEL 451.3## ## up to 797688 Use suitable pen. Otherwise the paint can be damaged. Print out template. Use the template for the left and right rear roof area.	AR98.00-P-0905-01MCC

		MODEL 451.3## ## up to 797688 Use a suitable pen to draw the roof bonding surface (1). Otherwise the paint can be damaged. If necessary, remove any protruding markings. Only use materials approved by the paint manufacturers.	AR98.00-P-0905-02MCC

10	Apply base coat and clear varnish of selected paint system	The paint manufacturer's specifications must be complied with in full.
11	Perform over drying	The paint manufacturer's specifications must be complied with in full.
