	Remove/install
1	Move driver and front passenger seat to foremost position and fold both backrests forward
2.1	Remove retaining clips (4)	Model 451.390/392/490/492 without CODE S02 (Top tether)
2.2	Remove bolts of anchoring lugs	MODEL 451.390/392/490/492 with CODE S02 (Top tether) Bolts are installed instead of retaining clips (4) : Observe installation position of spacer sleeves between body and floor covering. Bolt, child seat anchorage to body	*BA91.20-P-1002-01C
3	Fold floor covering (3) forward	: Position the floor covering (3) under the rear quarters.
4	Detach ground line (6)
5	Unscrew bolts (7) and lift parking brake lever (5) off pull rod (1)	The parking brake lever (5) must be fully released in order to release the toothing on the pull rod (1).
6	Release catch hooks on guide sleeve (2) in direction of arrow using a suitable tool and press out guide sleeve (2) downward	: Push on the guide sleeve (2) from below until the catch hooks engage.
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
7	Raise vehicle with vehicle lift
8	Detach brake cables (10) from rocker (8)
9	Remove pull rod (1) with rocker (8), guide sleeve (2) and spring (9) upward at an angle over front engine mount	The toothing of the pull rod (1) must point toward the left side of the vehicle. The hand brake may otherwise not function correctly.
10	Install in the reverse order
11	Perform function test on parking brake
