The insides of the windows of special protection vehicles are plastic-coated. The plastic coating is very sensitive to scratching in comparison to glass.
Observe the following notes to prevent damaging the plastic coating:
- Do not affix any adhesive labels.
- Avoid any contact with hard objects (ice scrapers, rings, watches, armbands, etc.).
- Do not use any deicing sprays.
- Do not clean dry.
When carrying out work:
- Cover the inside of the panes and windows with a protective film.
- Cover sharp edges on doors and on the window frame.
- Always reinstall removed bolts at position they were removed.
- New bolts must always be exactly identical to the bolts installed previously.
When cleaning:
- Use only water for cleaning, possibly adding a small amount of mild dish washing liquid or soap.
- Clean using only a chamois leather and minimal pressure.
