The retrofitted trailer hitch with a reduced towing capacity of 400 kg must never  be uprated to the series towing capacity.

The reduced towing capacity is to be deleted by an authorized testing station from the vehicle documents and the series towing capacity entered.

The previous form about the reduced towing capacity of 400 kg is to be changed by the workshop and filed in a tamperproof manner.

The series towing capacity is to be entered onto the vehicle data card and onto the vehicle data card on-line.

The "FO texts" tab is to have the following design group-related free text deleted: 

"Trailer hitch with a braked and unbraked permissible total towing capacity of 400 kg."
