| 1 | Open folding roof and rear soft top until the side wall seal (1) is exposed | ||
| 2 | Remove side support | ||
| 3 | Remove bolts (3) | Model 453.4 | |
| 4 | Pull off side wall seal (1) starting at marked area (arrow A) | ||
| Install | |||
| 5.1 | First insert guide of side wall seal (1) into cutout (arrow B) on B-pillar (2), then press side wall seal (1) manually onto body flange and drive down with plastic mallet | Model 451.4 The side wall seal (1) should be inserted as tightly as possible at the radiuses. Leaks can occur otherwise. The lip of the side wall seal (1) must contact the body without any contortions. |

| 5.2 | First insert guide of side wall seal (1) into cutout (arrow B) on B-pillar (2) and into cutout (arrow C) above rear lamp, then press side wall seal (1) manually onto body flange and drive down with plastic mallet | Model 453.4 The side wall seal (1) should be inserted as tightly as possible at the radiuses. Leaks can occur otherwise. The lip of the side wall seal (1) must contact the body without any contortions. |
