Remove/install console for front axle support - AR61.25-P-6613MEV

DANGER Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A
DANGER IMPORTANT The high voltage used for electric welding presents a lethal hazard. Risk of explosion  from welding in areas close to highly inflammable materials. Risk of injury  from weld splatter and UV-light when welding. Risk of poisoning  from inhaling welding gases Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and a protective mask. Remove highly flammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extraction system. AS00.00-Z-0007-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove detachable parts in the repair area IMPORTANT The generally required conventional tools are required for body work.  
2 Cover all detachable parts remaining in vehicle (area to be repaired) NOTES Use tarpaulin (fire-resistant).
Otherwise they can be damaged from flying sparks.
 
3 Expose spot welds on console (1) and cut out (area A)    
4 Remove damaged console (1)    
5 Level separated spot welds and grind mating surfaces down to bare metal    
6 Drill holes for plug welding on new console (2) (areas B)    
7 Grind connection surface on console (2) down to bare metal in crosshatched area    
8 Remove grinding and drill shavings with wet/dry vacuum cleaner    
INSTALLING Install     
9 Fit new console (2) together with support and tack weld IMPORTANT When fitting, observe cutout as positioning aid.  
10 Weld in new console (2) (area C)    
11 Clean welds with wire brush    
12 Prime repair area using primer filler    
13 Supply standard seam seals with body sealant   AR97.10-P-4000MCC
    White sealing compound, 310 ml, DBL 6069.20 *BR00.45-Z-1003-01A 
14 Paint repair area adjacent surfaces    
NOTES Notes on paintwork repairs   AH98.00-P-9408-02MCC
15 Apply additional cavity preservation   AR97.20-P-1500FF
    Teroson protective wax art. no: 122.73Q *BR00.45-Z-1008-05A 
16 Remove tarps in repair area    
17 Reinstall all detachable parts removed
