- The components in the D2B ring (station components) in this case are: - Radio (A2)
- Telephone interface (A34/4) or TELE AID control unit (A35/8)
- Voice control system control unit (A35/11) (for vehicles with code 813)
- The information in the D2B ring only flows in one direction (arrows). The information enters in the white insert (white) in a fiber optic cable module M1 to M3 and exits again in the red insert (red) at the next ring component.
The D2B ring only is capable of functioning as a closed circuit.
- Before the D2B ring can be expanded it is first necessary to determine the current vehicle configuration

For retrofitting a CD player with changer it is irrelevant whether the vehicle is selected with or without the voice control system (code 813). The maximum configuration is illustrated.
