DANGER Risk of death  when touching components on vehicles with high-voltage on-board electrical system Do not touch components and open lines of the high-voltage on-board electrical system. Persons who wear electronic implants (e.g. cardiac pacemakers), must not  carry out any work on high-voltage on-board electrical systems. AS54.00-Z-0001-01A
NOTES Note on the -voltage on-board electrical system   AH54.00-P-0010-01A
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove transmitter key and mains plug    
2 Disconnect ground line of 12 V battery   AR54.10-P-0003MCC
3 Remove screw/bolts (2)    
4 Remove electric vehicle communications module control unit (N112/2) from bracket (1) in direction of travel    
5 Release and disconnect electrical connection (3)    
6 Remove electric vehicle communications module control unit (N112/2) from the vehicle    
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Connect Star Diagnosis and select vehicle via the vehicle identification number (VIN) Only when replacing the electric vehicle communications module control unit (N112/2).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04MCC
9 Perform variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN) Only when replacing the electric vehicle communications module control unit (N112/2).
IMPORTANT The electric vehicle communications module control unit (N112/2) must be SCN coded with the DAS.
IMPORTANT "Internal" must be selected in menu item "Manual coding antenna". The electric vehicle communications module control unit (N112/2) cannot make a connection otherwise.
 
10 Disconnect Star Diagnosis Only when replacing the electric vehicle communications module control unit (N112/2).

11 Perform function test IMPORTANT The function test should be performed by the service advisor together with the customer. A prerequisite is the "VVC" (Vehicle Verification Code). When replacing the electric vehicle communications module control unit (N112/2) this must be newly generated over the "VIP tool" (Verification Code and ID provisioning tool).
