Checking the wiper arm's angle of incidence in the park and center position enables one to determine whether the wiper arm or the wiper system have to be adjusted.

• Adjusting wiper arm 

  In the event that the test value deviates from the tolerance range in the center position.

  The change in the angle of incidence is achieved through "twisting" (warping) the wiper arm using the adjustment lever. The angle of incidence for the wiper arm relative to the windshield must always be adjusted in the center position.

  When in the center position the wiper arm must be positioned exactly parallel to the windshield. The correct offset of the wiper arm in the center position is a requirement for low-wear and low-noise movement of the wiper blade on the windshield.

  Only in the event that the test value deviates from the tolerance range in park position.
