Notes on telephone retrofitting - AH82.70-P-0001-04C

MODEL 215 as of 7/1/00 up to 6/30/01, 220 as of 7/1/00 up to 6/30/01 without CODE 855 (TELE AID) 

The vehicles are always prepared for installation of conventionally connected telephones as supplied by Mercedes-Benz Accessories. Operation through the multifunction steering wheel is then not possible.

For model 215 and 220 vehicles with multifunction steering wheel (telephone operation through buttons on steering wheel) the retrofitting of a telephone with D2B optical fiber is practical in technical terms. The Audio 10 APS radio does not come with a button panel with numeric keypad. Telephone operation through the radio is therefore not possible (see operator's manual).
