General
A button in the trunk can be used to open the trunk lid.
The following functions are used to do this:
- Open CL [ZV] (SN1)
- Open trunk lid (HD-AS or S2)
After operating the button the two signals are switched after each other with a slight delay.
First, the central locking is opened, and then the trunk lid lock is actuated.
Button illumination:
- Color green.
- Flasher frequency approx. 1 Hz.
- Switched on by opening the trunk.
- Switch-on period after closing trunk approx. 60 min.
Function requirements
- The battery must be connected and charged (trunk lid emergency release operating voltage range):
9V to 15.5V)
WARNING:
If the battery is removed/disconnected (e.g. for temporary vehicle immobilization) the lock striker must be removed from the trunk lid lock for safety reasons.
The separate trunk lock function (90° position trunk lid lock) is no longer available after the trunk lid emergency release.
Function test
- Open trunk lid (button illumination must flash on and off)
- Close trunk lid lock, if necessary pull tappet switch (Trunk lid remains closed)
- Operate trunk inside button
with closed CL [ZV]:
- CL [ZV] opens

If the lock is jammed the actuation is repeated 2x (after approx. 10 s and approx. 20 s)
