	Check
1	Switch off engine and switch on ignition	Engine hood, trunk lid or liftgate and all doors closed.
2	Operate parking brake
3	Check warning lamps (7, 9a, 9b, 10, 11, 13, 15) and indicator lamps (8, 12, 14) for proper operation	In the event of complaints: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order
4	Switch on standing lights manually	The standing light indicator lamp (6) must light up and there must not be a lamp failure message in the multifunction display (16). In the event of complaints: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order
5	Switch on low beams manually	The low beams indicator lamp (4) must light up and there must not be a lamp failure message in the multifunction display (16). In the event of complaints: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order
6	Switch on high beam	The high beams indicator lamp (3) must light up and there must not be a lamp failure message in the multifunction display (16). In the event of complaints: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order
7	Switch on rear fog lamp	The rear fog light indicator lamp (5) must light up and there must not be a lamp failure message in the multifunction display (16). In the event of complaints: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order
8	Engage reverse gear and apply service brake	No lamp failure message in the multifunction display (16).
9	Switch off ignition and exterior lights
10	Switch on hazard warning flashers	The left and right turn signal light indicator lamps (1, 2) flash in unison. In the event of complaints: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order
11	Switch off hazard warning flashers
