General notes about painting the body flange in the glazing area - AH98.00-P-9408-06A

Pay attention to notes concerning the preparation of new parts such as the A-pillar, the roof or the side walls. 

MODEL ALL 

The following must be noted for new parts such as the A-pillar, the roof or the side walls:

• Apply repair priming in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
• The flange must be masked with adhesive tape (hand roll, 12 mm wide).
• Top coating of the flange to be repaired.

• Remove masking from flange to prepare for window glazing.
• Apply primer (minimum flash-off time at least 10 min., maximum break time 24 h).
• Apply bonding to component as per the repair instructions, on the de-masked and primed bonding flange (as much coverage as possible).
