Extend roll bar before working in the roll bar area. Keep body parts away from the movement range of the roll bar mechanism.

Risk of injury 

When working in the area of the roll bar, serious injuries can occur due to sudden raising of the roll bar.

In particular, the roll bar can be activated unintentionally while performing diagnostic and maintenance work on the control unit (N52) (the rollover sensors are integrated into the N52!).

It can also be triggered automatically within 1 hour after "Ignition OFF". It is therefore not sufficient to only switch off the ignition.

Safety instructions/precautions 

• Monitor hazard area.
• Extend roll bar before working in the roll bar area.
• If it is not possible to extend the roll bar due to a technical defect, you must disconnect the vehicle battery (G1).
• Keep body parts away from the movement range of the roll bar mechanism.
