Notes on installing rear axle - AH35.10-P-0010-01N

MODEL 215, 220 with CODE 487 (Active Body Control (ABC)) 

For retrofitted Thermo Top C air heater 

All self-locking bolts that are removed when lowering the rear axle, must be replaced with new self-locking bolts.

The thread for the front and rear rear-axle suspension bolts on the frame floor assembly must be recut.

The front and rear rear-axle suspension bolts are to be tightened to the corresponding tightening torques and then checked.

A phased in production change means that new self-locking bolts with a modified tightening torque will be installed.

New bolt identifying feature:

• Larger size (E18 instead of E14)
• Larger washer diameter (the shim is therefore no longer required)
