The installation location for the GPS antenna can be either on the roof or on the rear shelf.

Rear shelf  The reception characteristics for the GPS antenna are restricted.

This means that vehicles coming from a non-digitized area, e.g. an underground garage take longer to locate the route guidance!

Roof 

The reception characteristics for the GPS antenna are not restricted  . Each installation location is to be coordinated with the customer (vehicle owner). The GPS antenna may only be mounted on the rear shelf in exceptional circumstances  .

Exception case: Customer's decision to purchase is based solely on appearance. The customer must always be notified about the disadvantages associated with the rear shelf solution (customer satisfaction).
