The installation location for the GPS antenna can be on the trunk lid or the soft top compartment lid.

If the antenna is to be on the trunk lid a choice can be made between the GPS antenna and the GPS+telephone multifunction antenna.

Rear shelf  The reception characteristics of the GPS antenna are limited when the soft top is closed.

This means that vehicles coming from a non-digitized area, e.g. an underground garage take longer to locate the route guidance!

Trunk lid 

The reception characteristics of the GPS antenna are not limited when the soft top is closed.

Each installation location is to be coordinated with the customer (vehicle owner). The GPS antenna may only be mounted on the rear shelf in exceptional circumstances  .

Exception case: Customer's decision to purchase is based solely on appearance. The customer must always be notified about the disadvantages associated with the rear shelf solution (customer satisfaction).
