	Check
1	Check whether the daytime running lamps/fog lamp wiring harness (2) has been installed underneath the right front lamp unit on the longitudinal member	The LED daytime running lamps (4) can only be retrofitted on vehicles equipped with the daytime running lamps/fog lamp wiring harness (2).
2	Use Star Diagnosis to check whether the SAM control unit is suitable for retrofitting LED daytime running lights (4)

	Remove
3	Unclip CBS front bezel (1) using assembly wedge from front and remove	Carefully unclip CBS front cover (1), starting on outer sides, and remove. It is not necessary to remove the CBS front.

8	Connect Star Diagnosis and select vehicle via the vehicle identification number (VIN)

9	Perform variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN)	Software programming is not possible until it has been enabled by means of a transaction number. The order form for software enabling is available from the Market Performance Center.
10	Disconnect Star Diagnosis

11	Perform function test of LED daytime running lights (4)	The daytime running lights function is only active when the engine is running. If the LED daytime running lamps (4) do not function, the daytime running lamps function has to be activated. To do this, proceed as follows: Switch off ignition Remove transmitter key from ignition lock AT the same time, switch on the headlamp flasher and press the "Lock" button on the transmitter key
