Function 

The fresh air is suctioned in via the air filter housing and cleaned by the air filter installed in the air filter housing. The cleaned fresh air is then passed back via the air line to the individual intake ports. The intake air resonator mounted on the air line serves as a pulsation damper. This reduces intake noise and minimizes the fluctuations which occur in the air flow during load changes.
