Removal [07/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL 
    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

    2. Remove the following parts:
      1. Driver-side front scuff plate

        See step  1

      2. Driver-side front side trim

        See step  1

      3. Hood release lever

        Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

      4. Fuel-filler lid opener lever

        Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

    3. Partially peel back the seaming welt.
    4. Remove the bolt.

      *a BOLT *b DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL
      N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque - -
    5. Move the driver-side lower panel in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure, and detach clips A and B, and the hooks.

      *a INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD *b DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL
      *c CLIP A *d HOOK
      *e CLIP B - -
    6. Move the driver-side lower panel in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure, and detach clips A and B, and the guide.

      *a INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD *b DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL
      *c CLIP A *d CLIP B
      *e GUIDE - -
    7. Disconnect the cluster switch connector.

      *a CLUSTER SWITCH CONNECTOR
      *b CLIP
      *c DLC-2 CONNECTOR
      *d SCREW
      *e DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL
    8. Remove the clip.
    9. Remove the DLC-2 connector.
    10. Remove the screw.
    11. Remove the bracket.

      *a BRACKET
      *b DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL
    12. Remove the driver-side lower panel.
    13. Remove the cluster switch when replacing the driver-side lower panel.
